About the session:

From Viral Posts to Breaking Headlines — A New Challenge Emerges

In today’s world, information is more accessible than ever before — and more difficult to trust. We are living in an era of information warfare, where misinformation and disinformation spread quickly, influencing public opinion and shaping narratives — often with serious consequences.

Recent events — such as the surge of online propaganda, fake news, and digital manipulation during India–Pakistan tensions — have reminded us just how potent and dangerous false information can be. And in these high-stakes scenarios, the most vulnerable audience remains our children.

They are online, curious, and constantly exposed to content they may not yet have the tools to critically examine or verify.

To help address this growing concern, I’m hosting a free online workshop designed to support students — and the adults who guide them — in building the essential skill of our times: learning how to question, verify, and think critically.
